How KSS Energia champions a consumer-friendly energy future with smart and flexible software

They also strive to continuously improve the customer experience and exceed expectations by providing flexible and personalized services that support energy efficiency for individuals and businesses.

The challenge

In 2023, KSS Energia developed the Muutakin® app to help households save on energy costs by providing precise data on electricity consumption and its impacts. However, as the energy landscape progressed rapidly, they saw a need in the market to change how energy is used and managed. Flexible energy use will become an increasingly important theme, however, this space is still in the early days.

Therefore, they started to look for easy-to-use and efficient tools for their customers to monitor and optimize their energy consumption. They wanted their customers to understand their energy use better and make more informed decisions about energy savings. They also wanted to strengthen their customer relationships by offering value-added services while building their flexible residential load.

The Solution

KSS Energia had already developed a robust digital offering for customers via the Muutakin® app, including manual tracking of exchange electricity prices, the ability to browse product offers, the ability to make an electricity contract, and others.

A seamless and consumer-friendly energy optimization experience powered by Synergi

However, since about half of KSS Energia customers had already selected a contract whose final price can be influenced by their electricity consumption, KSS Energia wanted to deliver a tailored solution to this user segment and help them save more.

KSS Energia partnered with the Synergi team to integrate the Synergi app as a ready-to-use solution in their Muutakin® app environment. Customers interested in using Synergi download the app and select "KSS Energia" as their electricity provider.

The Results

  • An enhanced customer experience

KSS Energia customers have experienced significant value from the solutions Synergi provides. Roughly 40% of their signed-up users have connected at least one device, allowing them to achieve electricity bill savings of up to 50% on EV charging and 20% on heating costs. 

  • A stronger market positioning

By working with Synergi, KSS Energia can now deliver new, value-added services to its customers, strengthening its position in the market. For instance, the partnership with Synergi has allowed them to run co-marketing initiatives alongside Synergi in touch points where potential customers are and position KSS Energia as a modern, friendly and accessible energy provider.
