Demand response is the shifting of electricity consumption to a more favourable time or temporary adjustment to maintain grid power balance. Households, which consume 20-25% of Finland's electricity supply, play a key role in this. However, their participation in demand response is still at an early stage in Finland.
Synergi conducted a survey of electric car (EV) owners in late 2024, which included 170 Finnish electric car owners representing a diverse demographic of housing and electricity contract types.
