Thousands of Finnish consumers already use the Synergi smart electricity app. In partnership with Synergi, Aalto Energia is now integrating Synergi as a ready-to-use and co-branded smart electricity app to its offering.
Helsinki (February 7, 2024) – Aalto Energia, a new Finnish energy company focused on delivering clean and affordable energy to consumers, announces it is integrating the “Synergi Smart Electricity” app into its offering to help its customers use electricity mostly when it is cheap and clean.
Aalto Energia was founded to reform the Finnish electricity market by giving consumers more ownership over their energy matters, delivering affordable energy contracts, and enhancing the overall customer experience. Central to Aalto Energia’s brand promise is to provide friendly and efficient customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative digital solutions.
“While there have been concerns about price volatility in the electricity market, the share of spot-priced electricity contracts continues to increase. Synergi was founded in the fall of 2022 to help households optimize electricity consumption according to real-time electricity prices on devices such as electric vehicles, heat pumps, and solar panels. Since launching, the company has amassed thousands of Finnish households using app features such as smart & solar charging for electric vehicles and smart climate for heating and cooling devices, such as heat pumps.
Now, in partnership with Synergi, Aalto Energia is integrating Synergi as a ready-to-use smart electricity app for its customer base.

How does it work?
Aalto Energia customers download the “Synergi” application from either Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once downloaded, they create an account and select “Aalto Energia” as their utility provider. Upon selection, the app experience changes to the look and feel of Aalto Energia. Finally, customers can link their devices (electric vehicles, heating & cooling devices, and solar panels), and Synergi automatically optimizes consumption by using electricity when it is at its cheapest and cleanest. Use of the service is free of charge for Aalto Energia customers.
